Hidalgo is nationally known as having the second highest number of excellent quality hot springs, rich in minerals.The temperatures can reach up to 80 °C.

Ixmiquilpan

This destination is famous for the Te-Pathé Spa and others like Paraíso Humedades and the Alcántara Club.

Actopan

The main architectural attraction in Actopan is the San Nicolás de Tolentino Temple and old Convent, founded in 1550 by the Augustine monks.

Cardonal

This corridor is named the Hacienda Corridor because there are so many haciendas full of history and culture.Almost all of the 176 old haciendas in all of Hidalgo built during the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries can be found here.

Tepeapulco

Here you can visit the San Bartolomé de los Tepetates Hacienda and Tecocomulco Lake.

Emiliano Zapata

The most emblematic hacienda in the area is the San Lorenzo Hacienda.During it’s heyday it was a major producer of pulque.

The Franciscan friars came to this town during the 17th century and initiated construction on a large scale.The most prominent of these is the San Francisco de Asís Church.

This route is known for its diverse attractions, history and tradition in every one of the towns located here, especially the Tula archeological zone.

Tula


The main tourist attraction in the state is the archeological zone located here.It is located 60 kilometers northwest of Teotihuacán. Other sites of interest are the cathedral, the Quetzalcóatl Hall of History and the Jorge R. Acosta Museum.

Atotonilco de Tula

This area has very popular spas and hot springs to offer.

Ajacuba

This is a mystic town where you’ll find “limpias” (magical cures for bad luck, malevolent spirits and the evil eye).Other attractions include the spas and water parks.

Tepeji del Río

Tepeji del Río’s attractions are the San Francisco de Asís Temple and old Convent, the Caltengo Hacienda and the Requena Reservoir.
